1. About This Policy

This policy describes how Bracket Genie™ collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform. Questions can be directed to support@bracketgenie.ai.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to run your pool:

• Entry name — the name you provide when entering a pool. Displayed on the leaderboard.
• Your picks — group standings, third-place selections, bracket predictions, and champion pick. Stored to calculate your score.
• Pool code — the code used to identify which pool you joined.
• Phone number (optional) — only if you choose "Save permanently." Used solely to retrieve your pools across devices. Never used for marketing or shared with third parties.
• Device storage — we store your pool codes and entry IDs locally in your browser so you can return to your pools. This never leaves your device unless you trigger a cloud save.

We do not collect: email addresses (unless you contact us), payment information, precise location, or any data from minors knowingly.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Display your picks and score on your pool's leaderboard
• Allow you to return to and edit your picks
• Let you retrieve your saved pools on a new device (phone number only, if provided)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the pool.

4. Data Storage

Pool data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure located in the United States. By using Bracket Genie™, you consent to your data being processed in the US.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your entry name and picks are visible to other participants in your pool — this is the intended function of a shared leaderboard.

6. Data Retention

Pool entries and results are retained for the duration of the relevant tournament season and may be archived afterward. You may request deletion of your entry by contacting us with your pool code and entry name.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@bracketgenie.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Bracket Genie™ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform grows. The effective date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
